Birthday Spaghetti

Baket ba Spaghetti?

Ewan ko. Hehe.

Sibuyas
Bawang
Ground Beef
Mushrooms
Carrots
Bell Pepper
Pepper
Salt
Rosemary
Cream Cheese
Nestle Cream
Cream of Mushroom
Hotdogssss
Pasta
Quickmelt na cheese.. madami
Oven (hindi ito ingredient ha? I bake mo para may melt melt effect)

Teka,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARA!! SANA NAGUSTUHAN MO ANG NIKON DSLR MO!! IKAW NA!! I LOVE YOU VERY VERY MUCH!!

Sarap eh :P

Did you know?

It's Wednesday Morning People! :)

Rise and Grind!

You know how I'm addicted to the internet, that as soon as I wake up I check all my internet stuff. And of course, It's still game on, Candy Crush Saga.

A year ago, I came across a Facebook fan page named: http://www.facebook.com/onlyUsefulinfo (Useful Info) I like this page so much because it shares interesting photos and informations. I'm never going to UN-LIKE this page ever.

I'm not sure if its legitimate but I really find most of their posts interesting and plausible... even correct and believable.

Today they shared a photo that most of us notice, but ask ourselves why these simple things are printed in our daily usage of some products. In which majority of these box prints are seen mostly in Product tubes, like toothpaste, topical medicines, facial washes, lotions, etc.

Seriously, we need to KNOW this! YOU need to KNOW this!

That's why I opted to do this as my Wednesday-anything-goes-blog-post. I sometimes see YELLOW, but in this information, yellow doesn't have a definition so I might as well continue to research on this later.

I think I have a busy day ahead, full of personal and business errands! :P

All natural,

Sweet-kind-of-Sunday

Looking back years ago, my mother bought me my very first KITCHEN AID mixer! Then all the magic started happening :)

Series of eeewww and yummy recipes then emerged.

I have a sweet tooth (though Diabetes runs in our blood) Chocolates, Cakes, Cookies and all the sweet stuff you could ever find... I love 'em.

Today I decided to bake Nutella Cookies since my Pseudo babies are here in our house and we're watching lots of movies including cartoons :)

Follow me on Instagram to see all the things that interests me:   http://instagram.com/burigs

Here's one recipe that's easy to remember and sooo YUMMY to forget:

NUTELLA COOKIES

Second set photos O.o

Ingredients:

1 cup NUTELLA spread
1/2 cup Sifted Flour
1/2 granulated sugar
1 room temperature Egg

350 degrees farenheit = 177 degrees celsius (Preheat Oven)

Baking Time = 7-8 minutes

Using your electric mixer, mix all the dry ingredients first then the egg, then add the Nutella.
You can also mix them manually using a wooden spoon or a spatula, just make sure you mixed them well.

Using your hands (make sure they're clean) scoop a spoonful and make a ball using your palm. About 1 inch.
drop the balled cookie batter on the baking tray with WAX PAPER (or if you have silicone mats) and press the cookie dough using a cups flat bottom. Put them in the Oven.

Wait for 7-8 minutes (smell the aroma....hmmmmmnnn) and TADAAAAH!!!

Let the cookies cool on a wire rack / or any flat area. and EAT! ( i like mine hot, so I eat it right away!)

They taste really gooood!

Happy Sweet-kind-of-Sunday Indeed,

-Burigs

P.S. Don't forget to go to Church and hear Mass to thank GOD for making us see the world this day and for all the blessings we've all been receiving may it be big or small. I love you God :)

Random Favorites #1

Hello Saturday!! How you guys been? Me? Same old Just-at-home-doing-anything-kind-of-Saturday :)
I started writing this post early Saturday, hehehe. sorry for the delay :P

I have no specific topic for this blog so anything goes. Today I'm sharing you some of my random favorites.

Favorites #1: Allan and Barbara Pease ( Self-help category books)

Nobody can teach us about life, but they can give us tips, common informations and experiences. These books I'm sharing are written by a married couple from Australia.

Allan Pease first became known from his best-selling book "Body Language" dated 1981.

Originally a musician, he became a life insurance salesman, and then started a career as a speaker and trainer in sales, and subsequently in body language and communication skills. (wikipedia)

He wrote a number of books on topics of communication and sex differences. Most of them were co-written with his wife Barbara Pease.

Barbara Pease is one of the most famous/successful female writers. An author and a co-author of 10 number 1 best selling books. She's the CEO of the PEASE COMPANY and controls all the distribution of the books, DVDs, sales, training, body language, Etc.

These books may have written with different perspectives because of the culture difference that I've opened my eyes with, but I find most of its contents informative, reality based, funny, and helpful. They also have SCIENTIFIC reasoning and BIOLOGICAL truths thats why they got me hooked and entertained.

Why men lie and women cry (sorry for the crappy photo)

This is my favorite book! also the very first PEASE book I've read. Why men lie and women cry. This got me pinned down my bed for 3 hours. Made me think, laugh, and say OOoohhh. The thing I like about the most reading their books is the fact that they state both sides. How women see and feel about the situation. How men interpret and reply. Amusing but informative! Heres a snapshot of a funny cartoon inside the book:

Hahahaha. forgive the yellowish tint, this book's pretty old. hehe

The second book I own, Why men don't have a clue and Women always need more shoes, deals with everyday situations of a couple. The authors give their personal experiences as reference and honestly most of them are relatable.

I think I need more shoes. :P

Some topics.. :)

Why men want SEX  and women need L<3VE, added this one to my collection right away.
As blunt as the title, this book gave direct explanations to the most discreet situations.

Tell me about it!

Oh Women! and Oh... Men.... Hahaha

My last PEASE book is entitled Why men can only do one thing at a time and women never stop talking. This one's special, its only small and is hard bounded. I appreciate this book so much for it shows the differences of both. I can totally relate for I can:

Text or Call, Eat, Sing, Take pictures, Do make-up, while Driving. It sounds bad, but I'm not kidding.

This book answers all the questions both men and women are trying to figure out. I guess. It amuses me how simple and complicated humans are.

Blah.. blah.. blahh.. blahh. blahhhhh T_T hahahhahaha

See the difference?!

Men miss the details.
Books are silent references of all the things needed questioning. Authors write all they know to be able to share different views to different people. We are all unique individuals but at some point we meet in the middle and share the same ground.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!! LoveLove!

HOME

I've heard this song playing in many different movies. May it be a happy movie, or a sad one. Stuck in my head and singing in my mind, I realized how the lyrics of this song expresses everything I feel, all my life.

Everything I feel about myself and everything I feel about You. Though you don't read this blog( he reads but i'm suspecting he doesn't Read. READ. gets? Like reading in between lines. hehe ) and remember everything I write you, but I don't mind repeating them over and over. Until we find forever.

Our story goes way back 2005, I was just starting a new phase of my life enrolling again, shifting to another University and course. I was telling my mind to focus academically, since i'm not much of an "extra-curicular" activities-kind-of-girl. Had my share of books, laughs and friends then one day crossed path with this man.

Honestly, I wasn't feeling anything since I was focusing more on my studies. I was the same I-can-wear-anything-even-if-i-look-like-a-boy kind of girl. A tomboy outside, but a little woman inside. I was 20 and technically inexperienced. haha.

I've had such "manly" encounters way back, but I haven't had the real thing. Everything was just girly, puppy, fun-ny, fling-y, and "you're-just-a-sister-to-me experience. The last one was kinda heartbreaking and shameful, tell me about it.

A common friend introduced us, thanks to you http://thechainofsweetdestiny.blogspot.com. I could still remember how ugly and sweaty I was that day for i've been running and gasping for air when he said "HI."

No sparks. Series of events came after, one was even shameful to the point by that incident we exchanged numbers.

A lot of men/boys have been texting/sending me messages. Some even wrote handwritten letters, but never have I imagined reading "I LOVE YOU" for a first. I said to myself, how interesting this man could be that of all those that i've crossed paths with, he's the only one who ever said I LOVE YOU to start our very first technically formal conversation.

Well, that's how players (and literally) do it.  I found myself falling for a Basketball player. When I said player, he plays both on the court and the girls. Imagine how scared I was.

I found out I was falling for him after hundreds of messages and numerous calls. It could be the unending meetings and conversations that goes with lists of infinite RISKS. A lot could happen in an hour, how much more in a day, mine was a month.

The very fist time I felt something true, could mean lies if you think it through.

Risks, risks, risks what the hell?! I told myself. When you love, or should I say, when you felt Love  you suddenly see yourself without boundaries. You see the other person through and through. You listen to nobody but yourself. I've decided to give in and give Love a try no matter what it will make me or where it would take me.

It was the HAPPIEST day of my life.

Of course there were A LOT of things that happened after that happiest day. There were the:

- I feel so stupid days
- I am angry days
- Why am I lied at days
- Did you cheat on me days
- Jealous days
- I'm going to kill you days
- I hate you days
- Miss you so much days
- I feel like I've cried a river days
- Our fights are like in the TV shows/telenovela days
- Bothered days
- Near breaking up days
- and all the days you guys experienced, I probably experienced them all too.

But I chose to be happy. I chose to stay the same. I chose to never break up and to believe in whatever he says. Our relationship was, is and will never be perfect but we've seen far more than that. Trials have passed and glory days has ended but at the end of the day, we still tell each other how we don't want this to last.

I now understand that relationships are not always rainbows and butterflies. It could sometimes be compared to something rotten. It is up to you, if you want to have a lasting partnership. You would memorize the value of patience and honesty as well as appreciation. Jealousy will always be there you just need to keep it in box for safe keeping. Trust will wore out, but don't worry it will always grow and come back. Learn how to be contented, because everything will follow.

You will both learn from each other everyday. Up until now there are still things that I get surprised to.
Fight when you need to fight because I believe in a normal relationship. Until you you realize that both of you have matured enough to laugh and not fight.

God will always be number one. I once asked him to give me this kind of man and he gave me a sign through a white rose that was given to me by a friend out of the blue after hearing mass. I prayed hard to be in this relationship because without him, we would be just nobody.

I'm afraid I may not be able to share to all of you everything, but hey, all memories can't be expressed through words. Sometimes I just smile alone, and I realize how many memories flashing back before my eyes.

I found life after life.
Love after being alone for a long time.
I felt HAPPINESS.

Love + Life = Happiness.

I dedicate this song to the man who keeps my heart still and beating.

I LOVE YOU FOREVER.

Home is where the heart is,

Post Valentine Post

"Saint Valentine's Day, commonly known as Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is observed on February 14 each year. It is celebrated in many countries around the world, although it remains a working day in most of them." (Wikipedia)

"St. Valentine's Day began as a liturgical celebration of one or more early Christian saints named Valentinus. The most popular martyrology associated with Saint Valentine was that he was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering to Christians, who were persecuted under the Roman Empire. During his imprisonment, he is said to have healed the daughter of his jailer, Asterius. Legend states that before his execution he wrote her a letter "from your Valentine" as a farewell." (Wikipedia)

I was having a lesson earlier with one of my Japanese student. As part of the lesson I needed to ask her about her day, how it went and so on. Since I was not able to teach last week because I went out of the country and cancelled my lessons because it's Hearts day, I had the urge to ask her about how she celebrated Valentines day.

She told me that she gave her male co-workers chocolates in mini boxes. The sound of women giving gifts to men is not new to me, but hey! I didn't grow up to that kind of tradition. So I asked her again what did her husband gave her, and she told me that she gave her husband a big box of chocolate and she got nothing in return. Okay, I didn't get anything too so that was okay. So I asked her why is she the one giving away boxes of chocolates to men? She replied " Its our tradition/custom to give chocolates to men every February 14, Valentines day." OKAY, I said and asked WHY? She repeated that it's a Japanese custom that they practice and follow but next month the 14th of March, the women/girls will be the one receiving Chocolates from men. They call it the "WHITE DAY."

"In South Korea, similar to Japan, women give chocolate to men on February 14, and men give non-chocolate candy to women on March 14 (White Day)." (Wikipedia)

So I've researched. The next sentences on my researched freaked me out a bit and made me laugh, here it goes:

"On April 14 (Black Day), those who did not receive anything on 14 February or March go to a Korean restaurant to eat black noodles (자장면 jajangmyeon) and "mourn" their single life." (Wikipedia)

The latter, Japanese people don't practice anymore. I didn't know other cultures take receiving "flowers or chocolates" seriously that they needed to eat black noodles and mourn. Maybe its just for fun. I hope. Hehe

Another student said that it all started because of a Chocolate Company in Japan, where in they promoted their product to consumers to serve as gifts for Valentines day and White day. My student also stated that people are just making the chocolate company richer and richer every year. I could taste something BITTER. He's single. :P

I'm used to not getting anything on Valentines day specifically. I once received a flower, a balloon, and a card by surprise inside my car from the Love of my Life 5 years ago. The feeling was fulfilling and just pure happiness and appreciation. He never did anything like that again on Valentines day for he believed that flowers and other material things are not the basis of ones LOVE. He repeats that everyday should be Valentines day.

I love Flowers, but I see past those things when I look at him

" Whatever tradition or custom people follow, still everything revolves around LOVE. All things fall in and out of it. We all lose and find it. All beginnings and never-endings comes with it. " (-burigs-)

Like I always tell my Mother, that LOVE IS FOREVER.

To my Hunny, I LOVE YOU FOREVER.

To the rest of the World, MAKE LOVE NOT WAR.

Shoe Trick

Yesterday, he told me to put out all our rubber shoes off the shoe closet because he would make them look brand new.

Okay, for a moment I was shocked that he's willing to clean all our shoes since we have a lot of rubber shoes. He's an athlete and I'm a tomboy. haha

Then he told me how the "athletes do it." He only needs:

1.) An alcohol ( we only have green cross at home + it has moisturizer )

2.) A toothbrush or of any sort ( he used the brush from the free hotel kit )

3.) A towel ( in our case he used katcha )

4.) A small cup

He started off by filling the little cup (forgot to include the little cups' picture. hehe.) an ample amount of alcohol. Filling it up half full.

He dips the toothbrush and starts to brush in circular motion, the rubber part of the shoe (soles). He stated that only the rubber parts specifically the soles (?) of the shoe are the only thing you can clean using the alcohol. He brushed portion per portion in circular motion.

After one portion, he then used the Towel/Katcha to wipe the part. He continues the same routine all throughout the rubber parts.

VOILA! ( TENEENN!! actually what he said )

A clear difference from the dirty pair of the shoe :)

He added that they (him and his team mates before) used to do this trick because it's very convenient and cheap. Easily dries out too!

He cleaned my shoes next and here's the proof!

Left pair ( BEFORE)                                                                                               Right pair (AFTER)

I just want to say how happy I am to have a husband like him (we're not yet married but being together for more than 7 years and living together for almost 5 years feels like marriage already) He do things at times you don't expect, and does it smiling. Change is constant and I am the happiest.

Pending Travels

My mother wanted me to go out of the country beyond my approval. Alone.

Owning a Travel agency sure has its advantages, but going out alone and experiencing, admiring, remembering all the sights would be heart breaking. Well, technically a camera would do just fine. Having my trusty iPhone, NoteII, and D7 would probably keep me company if these pending travels would pursue.

I needed to research on good sleeps, good chills, good buys and good eats when I visit these places for I would be making our own iterinary for future tours for the company. Good performance means good benefits, means more travels.

Road trips gives me this kind of high feeling so you could just imagine how stoned I would be when that time comes!

Here are the list of places she wanted me to go and honestly, I couldn't say no.

1.) CANADA

Photo Credits: JOHN DE NUGENT (http://www.democratic-republicans.us)

Touring Canada would be fun since cold weather makes me more productive. Niagara Falls would be on top of my list and then I would meet up with my relatives so I could shop, until the credit cards drop.

2.) SANTORINI, GREECE

Santorini would make me miss the love of my life if i come here alone, or we'd go together and have Santorini-made babies. (babies agad? pwede naman baby lang) Of all the Pending places i'd visit i am in love with Santorini the most! The sunrise and sunsets I would see.. The sea.. The stars... The Moon and Sun...

3.) Istanbul, Turkey

My friend ( MAREC aka SUNSHINE) once brought me back a gift from Istanbul, a very nice decor called "the evil eye." The evil eye has become one of the most famous tourist souvenirs but it has a cultural belief;

The evil eye is a look that is believed by many cultures to be able to cause injury or bad luck for the person at whom it is directed for reasons of envy or dislike. The term also refers to the power attributed to certain persons of inflicting injury or bad luck by such an envious or ill-wishing look. The evil eye is usually given to others who remain unaware. (wikipedia)

It is famous in many Arabic countries as well as Afghanistan and Turkey. I hanged mine in our Bahay Kubo, where all my other Heavenly bodies at. My Evil eye looks like a sun, so I feel no Bad Vibes when I look at it. :P

4.) Sapporo, Hokkaido Japan

Sapporo Snow Festival!!! Born and raised in a tropical country makes me so chilly excited to meet SNOW face to face! Sapporo is the 4th largest city in Japan and is located in Ishikari Subprefecture, the capital of Hokkaido Prefecture (they call their provinces/place/municipalities, prefecture) In due time I or  my mother and I will be included to almost 2 million tourist traveling to Sapporo to get to see large scale man-made ice sculptures. Chilllllll!

Photograpped beside one of the famous Kumamoto Castle in Kumamoto, Kyushu Japan last 2010.

This pic was taken last 2010 when my mother and I went to Japan, we spent 10 days touring, Tokyo, Kyoto, and Fukuoka. I believe the ice sculpture from the pic above is the same castle i had my picture with.

5.) Seoul, South Korea

Last but not the least on my pending travel list, South Korea. No amount of words could ever express how I love their food! Priceless! Just looking at photos make me drool and imagine.

Of course, all the places listed in this post I WANT TO EAT ALL THE FOOD THEY COULD OFFER. Traveling is not about the place, but also its culture and tradition. I believe that tasting their local food brings me deep into their roots and takes me back to thousand of generations.

Hmmmnn.

Nothing beats, the Philippines.

No matter where my foot takes me, may it be Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, China, Japan (Those are the countries I've been to) still I come back to where my life started. The world is a big place, but the Philippines alone makes my existence a whole lot bigger.

Alone or not, I would fully grasp the opportunity and experience I've given to broaden my horizon and fill my sponge brain with sights and information including tastes of different realizations.

Candy Crush Gaga

My Level in Candy Crush Saga

A lot of people have been questioning my OH-SO-HIGH Level in this game. *Ahem* Hahahhaha!
Which is very flattering because of the big gap separating my friends levels with mine. Hahahahaha!

You see, I've been playing this game since September 2012, so I guess I have the right to claim that position, since its only now that many people are going GAGA about this game. I've been Going  Crazy all over this game for such a long time! It's all because of  The...

Bubble Witch Saga! This game was my first priority back then, but there came a point in time where I used up all my lives and since I'm so addicted to this game I needed other sources of "free-life" options. So I downloaded Candy Crush Saga to completely fill up my lives in Bubble Witch. From then on, I started playing Bubble Witch less because Candy Crush is more appealing and addicting!

Reaching Level 162 is very difficult. I remembered a time were I had to play the same level for almost 2 weeks just because I couldn't get it done. There were less players few months back so I had no choice but to wait for my lives to regenerate, unlike now. Gazillions are playing and sending/asking lives and tickets. I also stopped playing for a month, surprisingly I'm still at the top of the list, hehe.

On our recent trip to Hong Kong, I was so amazed how locals go gaga too over Candy Crush! haha! I saw people playing using their iPhones/Androids in Disneyland, restaurants, Ocean Park, Malls, Streets, and inside the MTR. I just forgot to ask their Facebook accounts so they could send me lives I badly needed.

Okay, here are some pictures which I do not own, i just grabbed it from a website named http://www.gamezebo.com. These are the power ups gained if you switch 4 or more candies :)

Candy with wrapper

This setup of candies results to a wrapped candy that bursts! If you Switch this candy to a striped one it will become a BIG candy that will wipe your candies horizontally and vertically! Amazing! Seriously, its fun to see it happening.

Polkadots Candy

This candy is my FAVORITE!! you'll get this if you switch 5 of the same candy color. The power of this one is beyond words, hehe. If you switch it to any color, all candies with that same color will burst adding more points and giving more space for new ones. If you switch it to a striped candy, all candies with the same color will become striped power ups! Again, giving you more score. But the mother of all power ups is when you switch this polkadots candy to another polkadots candy, all the candies in your board will be zapped and new candies will refill your board giving you again additional score.

Striped Candy

Last but not the least, the striped candy, you'll acquire this if you switch four of the same color, if you switch it vertically the striped candy will wipe all the candies on its row vertically and same goes Horizontally.

So FUN that the only thing that makes me sad is how the life can only be up to 5, and that you need/have to buy power-ups which are so expensive. You can't even gift power-ups to your friends. Boo! Calling the maker/developer http://www.king.com, please make our lives more fun by including power-ups as gifts and increasing life capacity.

Self proclaimed Candy Crush Saga Addict,

Random Reality

I welcome myself back to the world of blogging!

I've been staring at my laptops monitor looking at friends profiles, answering emails, replying to text messages or playing unending games. Yes, never-ending games that eats all my time everyday. I seriously need a job (I have one, but I call it a passive job since I only work at home), or the least, something to do. That's why I've given blogging another try.

I found myself signing up for an online sampling site www.sampleroom.ph which added up to this decision. To be able to share the samples I've tried and what wonders it did for me, and to be able to rant about all the things that bothers and makes me at most happy.

I might share my baking abilities too!

At least I'm beginning to share my life again, and I'm so good at this. I've always been an open book and what you see is what you get, get me?
