Pending Travels

My mother wanted me to go out of the country beyond my approval. Alone.

Owning a Travel agency sure has its advantages, but going out alone and experiencing, admiring, remembering all the sights would be heart breaking. Well, technically a camera would do just fine. Having my trusty iPhone, NoteII, and D7 would probably keep me company if these pending travels would pursue.

I needed to research on good sleeps, good chills, good buys and good eats when I visit these places for I would be making our own iterinary for future tours for the company. Good performance means good benefits, means more travels.

Road trips gives me this kind of high feeling so you could just imagine how stoned I would be when that time comes!

Here are the list of places she wanted me to go and honestly, I couldn't say no.

1.) CANADA

Touring Canada would be fun since cold weather makes me more productive. Niagara Falls would be on top of my list and then I would meet up with my relatives so I could shop, until the credit cards drop.

2.) SANTORINI, GREECE

Santorini would make me miss the love of my life if i come here alone, or we'd go together and have Santorini-made babies. (babies agad? pwede naman baby lang) Of all the Pending places i'd visit i am in love with Santorini the most! The sunrise and sunsets I would see.. The sea.. The stars... The Moon and Sun...

3.) Istanbul, Turkey

My friend ( MAREC aka SUNSHINE) once brought me back a gift from Istanbul, a very nice decor called "the evil eye." The evil eye has become one of the most famous tourist souvenirs but it has a cultural belief;

The evil eye is a look that is believed by many cultures to be able to cause injury or bad luck for the person at whom it is directed for reasons of envy or dislike. The term also refers to the power attributed to certain persons of inflicting injury or bad luck by such an envious or ill-wishing look. The evil eye is usually given to others who remain unaware. (wikipedia)

It is famous in many Arabic countries as well as Afghanistan and Turkey. I hanged mine in our Bahay Kubo, where all my other Heavenly bodies at. My Evil eye looks like a sun, so I feel no Bad Vibes when I look at it. :P

4.) Sapporo, Hokkaido Japan

Sapporo Snow Festival!!! Born and raised in a tropical country makes me so chilly excited to meet SNOW face to face! Sapporo is the 4th largest city in Japan and is located in Ishikari Subprefecture, the capital of Hokkaido Prefecture (they call their provinces/place/municipalities, prefecture) In due time I or  my mother and I will be included to almost 2 million tourist traveling to Sapporo to get to see large scale man-made ice sculptures. Chilllllll!

Photograpped beside one of the famous Kumamoto Castle in Kumamoto, Kyushu Japan last 2010.

This pic was taken last 2010 when my mother and I went to Japan, we spent 10 days touring, Tokyo, Kyoto, and Fukuoka. I believe the ice sculpture from the pic above is the same castle i had my picture with.

5.) Seoul, South Korea

Last but not the least on my pending travel list, South Korea. No amount of words could ever express how I love their food! Priceless! Just looking at photos make me drool and imagine.

Of course, all the places listed in this post I WANT TO EAT ALL THE FOOD THEY COULD OFFER. Traveling is not about the place, but also its culture and tradition. I believe that tasting their local food brings me deep into their roots and takes me back to thousand of generations.

Hmmmnn.

Nothing beats, the Philippines.

No matter where my foot takes me, may it be Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, China, Japan (Those are the countries I've been to) still I come back to where my life started. The world is a big place, but the Philippines alone makes my existence a whole lot bigger.

Alone or not, I would fully grasp the opportunity and experience I've given to broaden my horizon and fill my sponge brain with sights and information including tastes of different realizations.
